I am a nerd. Lover of pancakes...coffee...and all things Star Wars.
I've been drawing or painting my entire life but decided to start selling my artwork back in 2011.
I enjoy doing graffiti style artwork and digital artwork. I also paint mostly with acrylics during my free time. Almost all of my artwork is a combination of acrylic paintings that I scan using a large format scanner and than further manipulate using Photoshop and Illustrator. Most of the time it is a simple manipulation of the contrast to make the acrylic paint "pop" more.
For my pin-up or models series I worked with local models. They are all paintings that were scanned. For some I used acrylic paint and a toothbrush and for others I used acrylic splatter paint techniques and just threw paint at the canvas. It is all done on a 11x14 canvas.
Here is a before shot when I first started my "Women In Rhythm" series:
And here is the print after I scanned the painted stencil from the canvas:
Father to two future crime fighting vigilantes....and my day job is helping homeless military veterans find competitive employment in Western North Carolina. I love that as an Army veteran I can give back to other veterans and help them get their feet back on the ground. It's the first job I've ever had that I love coming to everyday.
Also if you are a veteran and interested in my artwork I give a lifetime 50% off to all military veterans or active duty soldiers. Just send me an email so I can verify and I'll send you the code to use in my Etsy store.
I am in Asheville, NC
Can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
